Here, behind autorizzazzione of the State of Cagliari, the scan of the letter sent by the Governor of Sassari Gavino (or Antiochus, are attested both names) Santuccio the King of Sardinia, Vittorio Amedeo III.
The decision to publish a document in the resources provided from the archive has fallen on this letter as it was, in a sense, the first in a dizzying and dramatic series of events that there a few months would precipitate civil war in Sardinia before and then in the repression obscurantist.
For the record, in this notorious letter of the Governor Sassari pointed his finger at the party of the innovators, who held the reins of political stamentaria, additittura guilty for relying on the armed intervention of France in Sardinia. The indictment, which historians believe is likely, though with some reservations, unfounded, was delivered to the king without the viceroy had been consulted, and always without the consent of the latter was alerted to the viceroy of Corsica Elliot. This act of secession and outrageous by the Governor of Sassari Vivalda probably pushed even more pro-stamentarie positions.
Of note, the header, to Vittorio Amedeo are also awarded the titles of King of Cyprus and Jerusalem, purely nominal, of which the Dukes of Savoy were always embellished since the mid-fifteenth century (Charles I of Savoy).
